This songs been on the back burner for a long time. Probably at least five years. It found new life this year with the help of Charles Feenstra and I wanted to share a take of it with this one.
lyrics
Well I'm lost in my body and stuck in my head and I cant seem to figure out whats life and whats death but I know in my heart this great life ahead
but why can't I get out what needs to be said.
When everything else is moving why am I standing still
when everyone else is moving why am I standing still
like a crane one leg in the water searching for his fill
the water weathers the rocks over time
His eyes they pierce through the surface
focused on the needs of the day
with one quick strike its all over
and the heron he flies away
(Chorus)
Hold on, Hold on my friend
hold on your answers are coming down
they are coming around again
Am I lost or just thinking
am I lost or just thinking to much
Like a child in the forest
wandering far from home
all these people on the highway
I wonder where they are going
and I wonder what its like to be a mountain
teeming with life yet so still
I feel like I am always climbing
this tower of babel weve built
(Chorus)
Hold on, hold on my friend
hold on your answers they are coming down
they are coming around again
When we are lost in our bodies and stuck in our heads
the story circles around
but its not one that I have read
