Inspired by a interesting encounter with a man on the streets of Philadelphia on night. Not sure if words could describe the story...so I wrote this song.
lyrics
Went out last night, a night on the town
I met a stranger, Man this guy was down.
He had a top hat on his head, and a duster hanging real low.
He stopped me on the street, told me a story I couldn’t believe.
Said some guy dosed him, with some kind of drug.
Man he was high, oh how his eyes bugged.
He was following a trail, a trail of green,
Smelling the roses, caught in a dream.
Lost on his way home, in the city of brotherly love.
He found himself in an alley where the junkies go.
The cops came to get him, but he was all alone,
Couldn’t breathe, and he needed a drink.
Feeling like he would die, he asked..
God show me the way home!
Thats when he saw the glow. Bright green on the sidewalk.
He plugged into the circuit, Thats how he found us.
We met a stranger, Stranger in the night
He asked us for guidance, need us to keep him alive
We met a stranger, Stranger in the night,
We met a stranger, stranger in the night.
Can we help him?
